WELCOME VISIT FROM FATHER JEREMIAS

Comboni Father Jeremias was stationed in Johannesburg as Provincial around the year 2010. He had a big place in his heart for refugees and was a huge supporter of and blessing for our Mercy work. His personal care and humble service won over all who encountered him. It was a great loss when he was transferred to Rome to be the Vicar General of the worldwide movement. When his term of office ended, he was able to fulfil one of his greatest wishes, to work in Mozambique, where he is currently stationed. He came to Johannesburg on business in March 2026, and we had the great privilege of his visiting us during his short stay. The first photo shows Father with Danny, our orphan from eastern DRC, on the occasion of Danny’s First Holy Communion many years back, and the second shows him on his visit in March this year, with the same Danny, now a qualified gym instructor. What a faithful friend Father is to us, we appreciate this very much.
